The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of SECRETARY REF NO: 2025/419/OCJ at the Mpumalanga Provincial Service Centre. This role provides professional secretarial, administrative, and reception support services to the office of the DCO (Deputy Chief Operations Officer).
The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement upon appointment. This position requires confidentiality, professionalism, and strong administrative support capability within a judicial administrative environment.
Candidates will be required to complete a pre-entry practical assessment to determine technical and operational suitability.
Salary
R228 321 β R268 950 per annum (Level 05)
Salary will be paid in accordance with public service remuneration structures.

Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualification:
- Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4).
Experience:
- No experience required.
Advantageous Qualification:

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Secretarial and Reception Services
- Provide secretarial and receptionist support to the DCO office.
- Manage incoming calls and enquiries professionally.
Diary and Meeting Management
- Manage online and physical diaries for the DCO.
- Coordinate appointments and meetings.
- Provide meeting support services.
Administrative and Clerical Support
- Provide general clerical support to the office.
- Draft executive reports, memorandums, and correspondence.
- Type, edit, and format official documents.
- Prepare meeting minutes and reports.
Information Management
- Manage office data and information records.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Policy Compliance
- Remain updated on relevant public service prescripts and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with departmental regulations.
The Secretary plays a critical role in ensuring efficient administrative operations within the judicial environment.
Work Environment
The position is based at the Mpumalanga Provincial Service Centre.
