Purpose of the Role

The primary purpose of the Sales Representative is to sell renewable energy and financial products to individuals and companies through structured customer engagement.

The role requires proactive lead generation, cold calling, negotiation, and effective closing of sales.

By building strong customer relationships and maintaining high service standards, the Sales Representative contributes directly to revenue growth and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

In-Store Sales and Marketing

Carry out cold calling and self-generate leads.

Sell renewable energy and financial products and services to individuals and companies.

Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and effectively closing sales opportunities.

Meet weekly and monthly sales objectives.

Provide relevant feedback on competitor activity and promotional launches to management and relevant stakeholders.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and management.

Administration

Compile weekly and monthly reports based on customer liaison and sales leads.

Identify operational challenges and ensure corrective actions are implemented timeously.

Ensure relevant reports and figures are completed and delivered within required timelines.

Maintain an updated database including all activities, partners, and opportunities with current status.

Management of Operational and Promotional Activity

Efficiently execute all operational field activities.

Protect company assets within the area of responsibility.

Monitor and control store expenses within allocated budgets.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Customer Satisfaction and Service

Maintain high standards of customer service at all times.

Gather feedback from customer complaints, queries, and requests, and ensure effective resolution.

Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through telephone and in-person cold calls, networking, and referrals.

Keep abreast of current technology trends relevant to the Energy and Financial industry.

Provide customized, cost-effective solutions addressing client needs.

Maintain effective client relationship management.

Minimum Qualifications

Diploma / NQF Level 5

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a sales environment
