Position Summary

The Used Vehicle Sales Executive is responsible for maximizing sales growth by identifying customer needs and matching them with the perfect pre-owned vehicle from our extensive inventory. You will be the face of Hyundai Stellenbosch, providing world-class customer service while navigating the complexities of trade-ins, financing requirements, and vehicle demonstrations. This role requires a professional who can turn leads into loyal, lifelong customers.

Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Customer Engagement

  • Prospecting: Actively engage with prospective buyers through digital leads, floor walk-ins, and cold calling to understand their specific vehicle requirements.

  • Relationship Management: Build a robust pipeline and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.

  • Demonstration: Professionally showcase vehicle features and conduct test drives, highlighting the unique value propositions of the Hyundai pre-owned range.

2. Sales Negotiation & Closing

  • Deal Structuring: Provide accurate pricing, negotiate sales contracts, and collaborate with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department to finalize deals.

  • Market Awareness: Monitor industry trends and competitor pricing in the Stellenbosch region to ensure our offerings remain competitive and attractive.

  • Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics as defined by Motus management.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Team Synergy: Work closely with the Service Department to ensure vehicles are trade-ready and with the Finance team to facilitate seamless customer approvals.

  • Seamless Experience: Oversee the entire customer journey from the first point of contact to the final delivery and hand-over of the vehicle.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

To be considered for this mid-senior sales role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: High School Diploma (Matric) is required. Additional education in Sales, Marketing, or Business is a significant advantage.

  • Experience: Previous experience in automotive sales or a similar high-ticket sales role is highly preferred.

  • Licensing: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

  • Market Knowledge: A strong understanding of the South African used vehicle market, including valuations and industry trends.
