About the Role
The Sales Executive Used Vehicles is responsible for managing the complete used vehicle sales process, from identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities to negotiating deals and providing after-sales support. The role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual who can build strong relationships and convert enquiries into successful vehicle sales.
This position plays a key role in supporting dealership performance by meeting and exceeding sales targets, maintaining customer satisfaction, and contributing to long-term customer loyalty. Staying informed on market trends, competitor activity, and product knowledge is essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Used Vehicle Sales and Lead Development
The successful candidate will actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the South African market. This includes managing walk-in customers, responding to enquiries, following up on leads, and proactively sourcing new business to grow used vehicle sales volumes.
You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding agreed sales targets while adhering to ethical sales practices and dealership policies.
Customer Engagement and Relationship Building
A core function of this role is building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships. You will engage with customers professionally to understand their needs, recommend suitable used vehicle options, and ensure transparency throughout the sales process.
Providing excellent customer service before, during, and after the sale is essential, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
Vehicle Demonstrations and Test Drives
The role includes conducting professional vehicle presentations and test drives. You will clearly communicate the features, benefits, and overall value of used vehicles, ensuring customers are confident and well-informed when making purchasing decisions.
Negotiation, Deal Closure, and Sales Administration

Minimum Requirements
