Position Overview
Brights Hardware Langebaan is seeking a Sales Assistant for the Plumbing Department. The main purpose of this role is to assist customers in choosing the best products for their needs, provide excellent customer service, and drive sales while supporting the overall growth and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities

Attend to customers in a professional and helpful manner

Advise customers on suitable plumbing products and solutions

Generate sales and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Control stock levels and perform regular stock counts

Place stock orders with buyers when required
-
Maintain accurate administrative records, including customer book, special orders, and invoices

Ensure proper merchandising and correct product pricing
-
Participate in perpetual stock takes

Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area

Perform additional tasks as delegated by the supervisor
Minimum Requirements
-
Matric or completion of 3 Intercept courses (120 credits total)

Minimum 2 years of experience in a hardware environment

Exposure to plumbing products (at least 2 years)

Knowledge of in-house merchandising standards and sales techniques

2 x Department Product Knowledge Certificates

Natural sales flair and ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
