Position Overview

The Revenue Analyst role, based at the Johannesburg Head Office, is responsible for optimizing passenger seat inventory and fare structures to maximize revenue potential. The successful candidate will analyze booking trends, pricing patterns, and competitor activities to ensure that the airline remains competitive and profitable. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor passenger seat inventory across all flight routes.

  • Develop and implement pricing and revenue management strategies to maximize profitability.

  • Conduct detailed market analysis and competitor fare comparisons to identify revenue opportunities.

  • Use revenue management tools and forecasting models to anticipate demand and adjust pricing accordingly.

  • Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to align strategies.

  • Prepare regular performance reports, analyzing yield, load factors, and fare optimization outcomes.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements in revenue optimization and pricing policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification (essential).

  • A relevant university degree or qualification in Business, Economics, or Aviation Management (preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the Airline Industry in a similar role.

  • Strong analytical background with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and airline revenue management systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Psychometric evaluation may be required as part of the selection process.
