VKB Group is recruiting a driven and commercially astute Regional Sales Manager to join VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd on a permanent basis in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. This associate-to-senior level opportunity is ideal for a results-focused sales leader with strong experience in regional sales management, key account growth, and sales team leadership within the FMCG or agricultural processing environment.

The role is responsible for driving regional sales growth, increasing market share, managing key retail and wholesale accounts, and leading sales teams to consistently deliver against performance targets.


About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for the execution of VKB Milling’s sales strategy across the Eastern Cape region. The role focuses on expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, leading and developing sales teams, and ensuring disciplined execution of sales initiatives.

This position plays a critical role in translating company strategy into regional sales performance through strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and close collaboration with distributors, retailers, and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Regional Sales Growth and Market Expansion

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and increasing market share across the region by executing effective sales strategies, managing regional campaigns, and identifying new growth opportunities within key markets.


Key Account and Customer Relationship Management

The role includes managing and growing strategic accounts such as major retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. Building long-term, trust-based relationships with customers and stakeholders is essential to ensure sustainable sales performance.


Sales Team Leadership and Development

The Regional Sales Manager will lead, motivate, and develop regional sales teams to achieve and exceed targets. This includes hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management of sales representatives to build a high-performing sales culture.


Sales Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting

Responsibilities include setting regional sales targets, tracking performance against budgets, analysing sales trends, and preparing accurate forecasts and projections. The role requires effective use of CRM systems to manage pipelines and forecast sales.


Promotions, Campaigns, and Operational Support

The position involves planning and executing regional promotions and sales initiatives, guiding distributors and dealers on company policies and SOPs, and resolving customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.


Minimum Requirements

Candidates applying for this role must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent

  • Computer literacy

  • Strong English and Afrikaans communication skills

  • Clear criminal record

  • Traceable references in a similar capacity


Experience and Professional Background

  • 5–10 years’ experience in a similar regional sales management role

  • Proven experience in managing and growing regional sales portfolios

  • Strong background in key account management and distributor relationships

  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing sales teams

  • Exposure to FMCG, agri-processing, or related industries is advantageous
