Position Overview
As a Quality Checker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the readiness, cleanliness, and compliance of the vehicle fleet. You’ll be responsible for identifying and reporting any defects, damages, or maintenance needs, helping the team deliver vehicles that are safe, clean, and ready for client use.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in vehicle inspection, automotive quality control, or a related environment, along with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure all vehicles meet quality and safety standards.

Use tools such as Record 360 to log and report vehicle damages accurately.

Manage and process insurance claims documentation for damaged vehicles.

Prepare vehicles for routine maintenance, including checking service schedules and dashboard alerts.

Verify mileage, fuel levels, and dashboard warnings before releasing vehicles.

Ensure all vehicles are equipped with spare wheels, toolkits, and safety equipment.

Respond promptly to driver reports and operational issues.

Report any non-compliance, wear-and-tear, or mechanical issues (e.g., worn tyres or low fluids) to management.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company standards.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
-
Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (or equivalent).
Experience:
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in quality control, vehicle inspection, or automotive services.

Prior experience in the car rental, transport, or logistics industry is advantageous.
Licenses:
-
Valid South African ID and Driver’s Licence (Code 8 preferred).

Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
