About NTK Distribution Centre

NTK Distribution Centre forms a key part of VKB’s logistics and supply chain operations. The centre is responsible for efficient warehousing, movement, handling, and distribution of agricultural and retail products. The environment is physically active, fast-paced, and focused on accuracy, teamwork, and safe handling of stock to ensure timely delivery across the network.

Position Overview

The Picker is responsible for the accurate picking, checking, receiving, and dispatching of stock. This role plays a critical part in maintaining warehouse accuracy, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting smooth distribution centre operations. The role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, check, and pack stock according to distribution standards.

  • Receive and dispatch stock in line with warehouse procedures.

  • Perform stock control activities to ensure accuracy and prevent shrinkage.

  • Operate a forklift when required (if licensed).

  • Handle manual lifting of products up to 15kg.

  • Maintain housekeeping, safety, and operational standards within the warehouse.

  • Support distribution processes as required by supervisors and management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar warehouse or picking position.

  • Forklift licence (advantageous).

  • Ability to perform manual labour and lift heavy stock.

  • Strong time-keeping and reliability.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Organised, disciplined, and able to follow instructions.

  • Physically fit and able to handle repetitive manual tasks.
