Position Overview

The Operations Manager (Western Cape) – Security will oversee the daily operational management of security services within the Western Cape region. The role ensures site-specific requirements are met efficiently and professionally, providing leadership, operational guidance, and client satisfaction.

This position reports directly to the Branch Manager.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Manage daily running of assigned sites in liaison with the Branch Manager/General Manager.

  • Ensure correct number of guards are posted according to contractual requirements.

  • Monitor site incidents and report to the Branch Manager/General Manager immediately.

  • Forward all incident reports to clients within 24 hours.

  • Conduct site visits at least once or twice per week to ensure standards are maintained.

  • Ensure job descriptions, risk assessments, and site procedure manuals are available on site.

  • Handle officers’ queries, uniform issues, and equipment audits efficiently.

  • Monitor control room equipment and systems for operational integrity.

  • Maintain up-to-date staff records and compliance documentation.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with clients regarding service standards and quality.

  • Attend client meetings and provide operational updates.

  • Collaborate with Key Account Executive to implement growth strategies and achieve branch sales targets.

Training & Compliance

  • Conduct regular knowledge checks for staff through verbal and written assessments.

  • Provide feedback and report training outcomes monthly to the client.

  • Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to by colleagues, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures effectively.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate.

  • Qualification in Security Management, Emergency Management, Business Management, or related field.

  • 5–10 years’ experience in the security industry.

  • Grade A PSIRA registered.

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office & Excel.

  • Strong operational knowledge and report writing skills.

  • Valid driver’s license, medical fitness, and clear criminal record.
