Position Overview

Bidvest Prestige Hospitality is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of hospitality services at the Brakpan facility.

The Operations Manager will ensure exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and a high-performance team culture, contributing to the company’s growth and customer satisfaction objectives.

This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for service excellence.


Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations of hospitality services, ensuring consistent service delivery.

  • Manage and motivate staff to achieve high-quality standards.

  • Implement operational procedures and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.

2. Customer Experience Management

  • Ensure client and customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.

  • Handle customer complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly.

  • Maintain high standards in cleanliness, presentation, and operational performance.

3. Strategic Planning & Budgeting

  • Develop and execute operational strategies to enhance service delivery.

  • Monitor budgets, financial performance, and profitability targets.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and optimize resources.

4. Team Management & Development

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring skill development and engagement.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to staff.

  • Foster a high-performance team culture aligned with company values.

5. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.

  • Maintain operational documentation and reports for auditing and accountability.

6. Collaboration & Business Growth

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and client relations teams to drive business growth.

  • Implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.


Minimum Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar operations management role, preferably in hospitality.

  • Demonstrated track record in team leadership, customer service, and operational oversight.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of industry trends, service standards, and operational best practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
