The Lakeview Messengers Department plays a crucial role in ensuring safe, fast, and secure delivery of medical specimens and reports—supporting frontline healthcare outcomes every single day.
Position Overview
Ampath is seeking a reliable and professional Motorbike Courier to join its Lakeview team in Benoni. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transport of medical specimens, parcels, and confidential reports using a motorbike or vehicle.
This is a key operational position: your accuracy, punctuality, and client-focused approach directly impact the turnaround time of diagnostic services that patients rely on. You will represent Ampath in the community, helping uphold a trusted brand known for excellence and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, transport, and deliver medical specimens, reports, and parcels in line with Ampath’s quality and safety protocols.
- Maintain the integrity of all specimens during transportation.
- Uphold professional and courteous client interactions at all times.
- Ensure timely deliveries and strict adherence to scheduled routes.
- Comply with traffic laws and Ampath’s internal operating standards.
- Report delays, incidents, or operational challenges immediately.
- Represent Ampath professionally as the first point of contact for many clients.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Valid South African Code A driver’s licence.
- Minimum 1 year of general driving experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of reliability.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional conduct under pressure.
