Job Title: Merchandiser
Location: Margate / Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal
Employment Type: Contract (2 Months – Peak Season)

This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for energetic individuals to showcase their merchandising skills while gaining valuable retail experience. Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining high brand standards across stores during the busy peak season.
Key Responsibilities

Determine stock to be merchandised and calculate stock requirements

Check product vintage, shelf quality, stock rotation, and price accuracy

Execute merchandising activities according to the cycle brief
-
Record and report on daily merchandising activities
-
Provide feedback on customer queries, complaints, and requests
-
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and brand initiatives
-
Communicate effectively with store staff and team members
-
Advise the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) on out-of-stock products
-
Ensure all merchandising tasks are completed efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) – essential

1–2 years’ experience in merchandising within the retail environment

Vibrant personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Valid driver’s license and reliable transport

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities during peak season
