Position Overview

Motus Toyota Strijdom Park is recruiting an experienced New Vehicles Sales Manager who will take full ownership of the dealership’s new vehicle division. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong sales acumen, proven customer service excellence, and the ability to motivate and guide a high-performance sales team.

Reporting directly to the Dealer Principal, you will play a critical role in sales forecasting, revenue growth, stock control, staff development, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage New Vehicle Sales operations to achieve monthly targets

  • Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction to maximise loyalty and retention

  • Maintain an optimum stock mix aligned with market trends and sales performance

  • Control budgets and departmental operating costs

  • Ensure dealership branding and display materials are always up to standard

  • Review pricing structures, discounts, and trade-in valuations to maintain profitability

  • Monitor department financial performance weekly and report variances

  • Manage and resolve customer complaints efficiently

  • Ensure every vehicle delivered meets Toyota’s VDQI (Vehicle Delivery Quality Index) standard

  • Achieve Customer Experience (CE) goals consistently

  • Drive sales of value-added back-end products

  • Ensure staff are trained on new model launches and ongoing product knowledge

  • Establish correct staffing levels to support peak performance

  • Manage floorplan activities and monitor stock levels in line with company guidelines


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a managerial role within the automotive industry

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Clear Criminal Record

  • Experience in stock procurement for dealerships

  • Sales leadership, administration, and marketing experience

  • Strong staff motivation and department management abilities
