Position Overview
RCL Foods is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Storeman to join the Engineering team based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and play a vital role in managing internal procurement and stock control processes.
This position requires an individual who is well-organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The Maintenance Storeman will be responsible for ensuring that all parts, tools, and consumables are properly managed, recorded, and available to support maintenance operations effectively.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) is required.

A formal qualification in Engineering Stores or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

A valid Driver’s License and PDP will be beneficial.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in inventory management and procurement processes.

Strong administrative, communication, and time management skills.
-
Must be able to work independently and under pressure.

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, overtime, and public holidays when required.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement and Stock Management
-
Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock items.
-
Conduct daily and monthly stock takes to ensure accuracy and accountability.
-
Manage stock levels to prevent shortages and overstocking.
-
Liaise with suppliers for quotation requests, order placements, and follow-ups.
-
Assist the Buyer with sourcing and ordering of maintenance parts and consumables.

Monitor the receiving and issuing of parts in line with company procedures.
Maintenance Support

Issue and reconcile tools and special equipment daily.

Open and manage job cards to track maintenance activities.

Ensure invoice matching and filing are completed accurately and timeously.

Support the Maintenance Manager with internal procurement controls and administrative reporting.
Operational Efficiency and Safety

Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Quality standards at all times.

Maintain a clean and organized store area in accordance with company housekeeping policies.

Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Assist in problem-solving to improve workflow and minimize downtime.
