Position Overview
RCL Foods is currently seeking a Maintenance Storeman to join the Engineering Division based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of spare parts, consumables, and maintenance tools required to support the plant’s operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal procurement processes, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring the timely availability of materials to prevent production downtime. This is a key position for an individual who is organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily stock takes and ensure accuracy of inventory records.

Receive, store, and issue maintenance parts, consumables, and tools.

Monitor and control stock levels in accordance with operational requirements.

Prepare and manage purchase requests and supplier quote comparisons.

Assist the buyer with ordering of parts and materials when required.

Conduct monthly stock reconciliations and report variances to management.

Manage job cards, invoices, and documentation efficiently.

Maintain good housekeeping and organisation within the maintenance store.

Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Food Safety standards.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.

Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operational needs.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / Matric qualification (essential).
-
A formal technical or warehouse-related qualification will be advantageous.

A valid Driver’s Licence and PDP are beneficial.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an FMCG environment (preferably in maintenance or engineering stores).

Proven knowledge of stock control and internal procurement processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.

Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and use initiative to meet operational demands.
