About the Role
As a Business Intelligence Developer within the VKB Group, you will be the catalyst for data-driven transformation. You will collaborate across various divisions—from food processing to logistics—to elicit reporting requirements and translate them into high-impact visual stories. Your primary focus will be providing accurate, timely, and reliable Power BI reports that empower operational management and executive leadership. Furthermore, you will play a hands-on role in the evolution of our enterprise-wide data warehouse.
Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities
1. Report Development & Data Visualization

Requirement Elicitation: Work directly with business users and internal clients to define and document reporting and data analysis needs.

Dashboard Design: Develop, maintain, and enhance sophisticated reports and dashboards using Power BI, SSRS, and Advanced Excel.

Data Insight: Utilize advanced analytical abilities to transform massive volumes of raw agricultural and financial data into accurate, actionable visual information.
2. Data Warehousing & ETL Processes

Warehouse Architecture: Assist in the design, development, and support of a group-wide data warehouse environment.

ETL Engineering: Use SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to manage Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, combining disparate data sources into a unified Analysis Services Cube.

OLAP Management: Support Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) frameworks to ensure high-performance data retrieval.
3. Stakeholder Support & Project Management

End-to-End Resolution: Act as the primary technical support for business report queries, managing issues from discovery through to stakeholder sign-off.

Multi-Project Handling: Demonstrate the ability to work on multiple technical projects simultaneously while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines.

Troubleshooting: Apply excellent technical troubleshooting skills to resolve data discrepancies and system performance bottlenecks.
Qualification and Experience Requirements
To be considered for this technical role at VKB Head Office, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education: A Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or a related quantitative field is mandatory.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ formal experience in Business Intelligence development.

Technical Stack: Proven expertise in Microsoft Power BI and Advanced Excel.

Database Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL Queries, SSIS, Data Warehouse design, and ETL frameworks.
