About the Department of Employment and Labour
The Department of Employment and Labour ensures effective human resource management, supports employee services, and promotes compliance with labour legislation across South Africa. Position Overview
The Department invites unemployed graduates to apply for the Human Resource Operations Internship 2025–2027. This 24-month programme offers practical experience in recruitment, selection, HR service benefits, and general HR operations within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for all HRM functions, including recruitment and selection.
- Assist with employee service benefits administration.
- Support day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks.
- Compile and maintain HR records and reports.
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizenship.
- Must be unemployed graduates who have not previously participated in internship programmes.
- Qualifications: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in:
- Human Resource Management
- All foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA.
- Willingness to relocate if internship is outside applicant’s area of residence.
