Position Overview

The Department invites unemployed graduates to apply for the Employment Equity Internship Programme 2025–2027. This 24-month programme provides practical experience in monitoring compliance with the Employment Equity Act (EEA), conducting inspections, supporting investigations, and assisting inspectors with administrative duties.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring compliance with the Employment Equity Act (EEA) and related regulations.
  • Conduct inspections to assess compliance levels.
  • Support investigations on reported complaints related to contraventions of the EEA.
  • Provide administrative support to inspectors.
  • Compile and consolidate reports from inspections and investigations.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizenship.
  • Must be unemployed graduates who have not previously participated in an internship programme.
  • Qualifications: National Diploma (NQF Level 6, 360 credits) or Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7, 480 credits) in:
    • BCom Law / LLB
    • Labour Law / Commercial Law
  • All foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA.
  • Willingness to relocate if internship is outside applicant’s area of residence.
