Position Overview

CIPC invites applications for 1 Graduate Internship in Facilities Management, based in Sunnyside, Pretoria. This internship forms part of a 24-month Graduate Internship Programme, offering graduates practical experience in facilities, property management, and administrative operations within a government setting.

The programme targets unemployed graduates, giving them workplace exposure to facilities management processes, property administration, and public service operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Facilities Management team with day-to-day operational and administrative tasks.

  • Support maintenance planning, property inspections, and asset management activities.

  • Assist with documentation and record-keeping for facility compliance, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Contribute to the coordination of maintenance projects and service delivery processes.

  • Support reporting on facility operations, performance metrics, and maintenance activities.

  • Participate in team projects to improve efficiency, compliance, and operational workflows.


Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • National Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Building Construction Services, or Business Administration.

  • Unemployed South African graduates aged 18–35 years.

  • No prior work experience required; applicants must not have participated in previous internship programmes.

  • Valid South African ID and proof of qualifications (foreign qualifications must be SAQA-evaluated).

Desirable:

  • Understanding of facilities management principles, building maintenance, and property administration.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Proactive and motivated to learn in a government facilities environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment.

Special Conditions of Employment
