Position Overview
The General Worker at VKB Mechanization in Ermelo, Mpumalanga will perform general operational and workshop support duties. This role involves assisting mechanics and technicians, maintaining workshop tidiness, supporting client service activities, and performing physically demanding tasks. The position is entry-level but provides exposure to agricultural mechanization operations and hands-on workshop experience.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of workshop premises and buildings.

Assist workshop mechanics and technicians with day-to-day repair and maintenance tasks.

Handle loading and offloading of stock, tools, parts, and materials.

Support customer service by assisting clients and suppliers according to company policies.

Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.

Ensure stock control and proper handling of workshop inventory.

Contribute to the overall function and efficiency of the mechanization workshop.

Uphold safety, health, and environmental standards while performing all duties.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / NQF 4 compulsory.

Code EB Driver’s Licence compulsory.

Ability to perform manual labor, including moving heavy equipment.

Previous experience in a tractor workshop or mechanical environment is advantageous.

Good health and physical stamina to meet the demands of the role.
