Position Overview
The Transport Department at BRB Port Elizabeth is seeking a dependable General Worker Fuel Attendant to support the fleet’s effective daily operations. This role includes refuelling vehicles, conducting visual inspections, maintaining accurate fuel records, and assisting the transport administrator with essential administrative functions. Accuracy, safety awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility are key requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Fuel Management
- Refuel all trucks and vehicles accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain updated and precise fuel records daily.
- Conduct and record daily fuel dips.
- Control and monitor the bowser and pump operations.
Vehicle Checks & Support
- Check and refill water and oil levels for trucks and vehicles.
- Perform visual inspections and report defects or irregularities immediately.
- Assist with shunting duties as required.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Ensure bowser and pump areas are clean, hygienic, and compliant with safety standards.
- Adhere to company safety policies and transport regulations at all times.
- Maintain a neat and organised working environment.
Administrative Assistance
- Support the transport administrator with related administrative tasks when required.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping aligned with internal systems and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric with strong numerical ability.
- Valid Code C1 license is advantageous.
- 1–2 years’ experience in a similar FMCG environment.
