Logistics Support Opportunity at Unitrans – TSA KZN Distribution (Consumer Division)
Unitrans is offering a temporary fixed-term opportunity for an experienced and dependable General Worker to join the Consumer Division on the TSA KZN Distribution contract in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This role is well suited to a physically fit and safety-conscious individual who can assist drivers with loading and offloading activities while maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

About the Role
The General Worker is responsible for assisting truck drivers with loading and offloading of vehicles, maintaining cleanliness across the premises, and supporting general operational requirements. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to follow safety procedures, and readiness to perform a variety of support tasks as required.
The successful candidate must be prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, depending on operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and Offloading Support
The primary responsibility of this role is assisting truck drivers with loading and offloading of goods. This includes handling goods safely and efficiently while following all safety and operational procedures.
Premises and Environment Maintenance
The General Worker will ensure that outside walkways remain clear and free of debris, contributing to a safe and orderly working environment. Cleaning of the entire premises and maintaining general environmental standards form part of daily responsibilities.
General Housekeeping and Adhoc Duties
The role includes general housekeeping tasks and performing adhoc duties as required by supervisors. Any maintenance or repair issues identified must be reported to building management or the relevant authority.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
Strict adherence to safety requirements is essential. The General Worker must work in a safe manner at all times, follow company procedures, and carry out all reasonable instructions provided by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4

Experience and Professional Background
