Safair Operations, trading as FlySafair, has exciting contract opportunities available for Flight Attendants (CPT) based at Cape Town International Airport. This role is ideal for qualified and safety-driven aviation professionals who are passionate about customer service, compliance, and delivering a high-quality passenger experience.
The successful candidates will report directly to the Cabin Services Manager and will play a critical role in ensuring safety, service excellence, and operational integrity on board FlySafair flights.
Position Overview
As a Flight Attendant at FlySafair, you will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to aviation safety standards while creating a positive and professional experience for passengers. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
This is a contract position, with 13 vacancies available, offering exposure within one of South Africa’s leading low-cost airlines.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Compliance and Cabin Procedures
Flight Attendants are required to continuously ensure compliance with all applicable safety policies and procedures. This includes conducting safety checks, managing emergency procedures when required, and maintaining full awareness of aviation regulations at all times.
A strong focus on safety is essential, with Flight Attendants expected to operate confidently and effectively under stressful conditions while maintaining professional conduct throughout each flight.
Passenger Experience and Customer Service
The role requires the efficient execution of all activities related to delivering a positive passenger experience. Flight Attendants must be attentive, compassionate, and customer-service oriented, ensuring that passengers feel safe, informed, and comfortable throughout their journey.
Clear communication, diplomacy, and professionalism are key components of this responsibility, especially when interacting with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
Professional Conduct and Integrity
Flight Attendants are expected to continuously promote a high level of integrity and professionalism. This includes maintaining impeccable behaviour, adhering strictly to company policies, and representing FlySafair positively at all times.
Maintaining an immaculate appearance and full compliance with company uniform and grooming standards is a non-negotiable requirement of the role.
Administrative Compliance
The role also includes ensuring a high standard of administrative compliance. This involves completing required documentation accurately and timeously, following internal processes, and supporting operational efficiency through adherence to company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements to be considered:

Grade 12 or equivalent

Current and valid SACAA Cabin Crew License (non-negotiable)

Current Avmed DD50 Medical Certificate

Dangerous Goods Certificate
-
Ditching Certificate
-
Fire Fighting Certificate
-
Valid South African driver’s licence (non-negotiable)

Level 4 English language proficiency

Medically fit and able to swim

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Availability for early morning sign-ons and late evening sign-offs
