Position Overview
AFGRI is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee and implement strategic financial management processes within AFGRI Milling. The role requires 10 years’ relevant finance experience with strong leadership in financial planning, accounting, and risk management. The incumbent will drive financial strategy, maintain controls, and provide guidance to ensure sustainable profitability.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting systems and financial controls.

Provide strategic input for decision-making and contribute to company growth initiatives.

Oversee cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in line with IFRS and company policies.

Recruit, mentor, and manage the finance team, fostering a motivational and results-driven environment.

Ensure clean audit outcomes, maintain internal control matrices, and proactively manage financial risks.

Process and oversee credit applications, debtor management, and efficient credit control.
-
Assist with financial system testing, updates, and process improvements.
-
Manage administrative functions including invoice processing, reporting, and general ledger oversight.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
-
BCom in Accounting.
-
Completed articles will be an advantage.
-
10 years of relevant financial experience, including debtors, creditors, cash book, inventory, fixed assets, general ledger, and trial balance management.

3–5 years of post-graduate financial management experience.
-
South African citizen.
Desirable:
-
Strong knowledge of IFRS, SAP, VAT, and SARS compliance.

Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Proven ability to implement financial management techniques and principles.
