Finance and Accounts Support Opportunity at IIE Rosebank College
ADvTECH, through its higher education institution IIE Rosebank College, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Administrator to join its RC East London campus in the Eastern Cape. About the Role
The Financial Administrator will be responsible for managing accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate recording, allocation, and tracking of student payments. The role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting smooth registration and administrative processes across the campus.
This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and a customer-focused approach when dealing with students and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable and Payment Processing
The successful candidate will be responsible for recording Point of Sale (POS) payments accurately and allocating payments correctly on the Pre-Registration account. This includes verifying that payments are made on time and that the correct reference numbers are used to ensure accurate account reconciliation.
System Administration and Documentation
You will ensure that all Proof of Payments are uploaded to the Student Information Management System (SIMS) and that financial records are complete, accurate, and up to date. Interpreting account statements and identifying discrepancies form an essential part of the role.
Financial Queries and Support
The Financial Administrator will attend to finance-related queries from students, staff, and other stakeholders in a professional and service-oriented manner. The role also includes performing ad hoc financial duties as required to support the broader finance function.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

Diploma in Finance (NQF Level 6) or

Degree in Finance or related field (NQF Level 7)
An additional Diploma in Bookkeeping or Credit Control will be considered advantageous.
Experience

1–2 years’ experience in credit control or financial administration
