Position Overview

Voltex is seeking two meticulous and detail-oriented Cycle Counters for its Briardene branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the incumbents will be responsible for counting and monitoring inventory levels, ensuring that product movement aligns with declared lists and documentation, and maintaining the integrity of warehouse stock.

The successful candidates will have experience in cycle counting and inventory control, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate and reliable stock records.


Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Monitoring and Control

  • Monitor and control inventory integrity across the warehouse.

  • Perform daily cycle counts of products and stock items.

  • Maintain accurate product identification, location, and lot code information.

  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.

  • Collaborate with the Inventory Control Coordinator to address inventory problems efficiently.

2. Stock Handling and Counting

  • Open and pack containers to count items or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand.

  • Report discrepancies of over/under quantities and any damaged products.

  • Assist in pulling orders for counter sales and dispatch when required.

  • Support general stores and warehouse duties as needed.

3. Stock Take and Documentation

  • Assist with regular stock takes and inventory audits.

  • Ensure proper documentation of counts and discrepancies.

  • Maintain a neat, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification (essential).

  • Minimum of 2 yearsโ€™ experience in a warehouse or stores environment is advantageous.

  • Recent experience with cycle counting or inventory control is essential.

  • Good product knowledge relevant to electrical supplies.

  • Familiarity with warehouse processes and operational standards.

  • Understanding of safety standards and protective clothing in warehouse operations.
