Position Overview
Pedros is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Crew Staff to join the Sandown Retail Crossing location in Cape Town. The Crew Staff will be responsible for ensuring that quality products are prepared and served to customers according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, fast-paced, and committed to teamwork, delivering a consistent and positive experience for Pedros customers.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation and Service

Prepare menu items according to SOPs while maintaining speed and quality of service.

Ensure all food items are presented consistently and meet Pedros standards.

Monitor stock and product freshness to ensure quality and safety.
Cleanliness and Hygiene
-
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the restaurant according to SOPs.

Ensure food safety standards are strictly adhered to at all times.

Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
Customer Service

Deliver friendly, professional, and courteous service to all customers.

Assist in resolving customer queries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience.
Teamwork and Compliance

Follow all operational and safety procedures as outlined in Pedros SOPs.

Support team members in day-to-day operational tasks and workflow.

Minimum Requirements
Essential:

National Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / Matric).

Minimum of 1 year related experience in restaurant or fast-food service.

Excellent customer service skills.

Strong verbal communication skills in English.

Willingness and ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Advantageous:

Experience in a fast-paced retail or food service environment.

Bilingual communication skills (English + additional South African language).
