Position Overview

The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout offices, corridors, restrooms and general areas of the Military Health Unit. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a cleaning team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Clean offices, boardrooms, corridors and elevators.

  • Dust and polish office furniture.

  • Sweep, scrub, mop and wax floors.

  • Vacuum and shampoo carpets.

  • Clean doors, windows, walls and glass surfaces.

  • Empty, clean and disinfect dirt bins.

  • Collect and dispose of waste paper and general waste.

  • Freshen office areas to maintain hygiene standards.

  • Clean the general kitchen, wash basins and keep utensils clean.

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms; refill liquid soap, toilet rolls, hand towels and air fresheners.

  • Empty and wash waste bins and sanitary bins.

  • Safeguard, clean and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.

  • Report broken equipment and malfunctioning cleaning machines.

  • Clean appliances (microwaves, vacuums, etc.) after use.

  • Request and collect cleaning supplies from stores.


Minimum Requirements

  • ABET qualification (minimum level).

  • No experience required — entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

  • Ability to stand for long hours.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Basic knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.

  • Willingness to work shift hours as required.

  • Good communication, organising and basic writing skills.
