Central Johannesburg TVET College invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for CLEANER SUPERVISOR: (2 POSTS) at Riverlea Campus and Smit Street Campus. These positions are responsible for supervising cleaning staff and ensuring high hygiene and sanitation standards across campus facilities.

The successful candidates will manage cleaning teams, coordinate cleaning operations, and ensure compliance with health and safety hygiene standards within the college environment.

Candidates with supervisory experience in cleaning or facilities management will have an advantage.

Salary

R193 359 per annum (Level 04) plus public sector benefits

Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualification:

• National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 / Standard 10.

Experience Requirements:

• 1 – 2 years supervisory experience within a cleaning services environment.

Knowledge Requirements:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Cleaning Operations Supervision

• Supervise cleaning staff activities.
• Establish cleaning schedules and duty rosters.
• Assign cleaning tasks to staff members.

Resource Management

• Allocate cleaning materials and resources.
• Manage cleaning stock and equipment maintenance.
• Prepare procurement requisitions for cleaning supplies.

Quality Control and Hygiene Management

• Ensure general cleanliness of campus facilities.
• Monitor hygiene standards across campus buildings.
• Recommend improvements to cleaning procedures.

Reporting and Administration

• Compile and submit operational reports.
• Maintain records of cleaning operations.
• Manage staff attendance and performance monitoring.

Staff Management

• Conduct meetings with cleaning staff.
• Provide guidance and supervision to cleaning teams.
• Support team productivity and discipline.
