Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualification:

• Grade 10 or equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA.

Experience:

• Exposure to cleaning environments will be an added advantage.

Knowledge and Competencies:

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to read and write.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety measures.
• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Customer service orientation.
• Ability to perform physical manual labour.
• Reliability, punctuality, and good conduct.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Office and Facility Cleaning

• Clean offices, storerooms, corridors, elevators, and boardrooms.
• Dust furniture and remove waste materials.
• Provide drinking water during meetings.

Kitchen and Sanitation Cleaning

• Clean kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Clean walls, windows, and general surfaces.
• Scrub toilets and polish floors.

Equipment Maintenance

• Clean and maintain cleaning machinery and equipment.
• Vacuum clean floors using appropriate equipment.

Hygiene Support

• Refill toilet paper and hygiene supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of sanitation areas.

Stock and Materials Control

• Maintain cleaning materials and equipment.
• Report shortages of cleaning supplies.

The Cleaner will contribute to maintaining safe, hygienic, and professional working environments.

Work Environment

Positions are located within:

• Vhembe West District
• Mopani District
• Mopani East District
