Position Overview

The Car Rental Returns Agent plays a key role in ensuring that each rental transaction ends on a positive and professional note. The role focuses on welcoming returning customers, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring accurate documentation for billing and potential charge-outs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Interaction & Service

  • Greet and assist customers returning vehicles in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Ensure a seamless vehicle return experience while maintaining excellent service standards.

  • Represent the company brand with professionalism and courtesy.

2. Vehicle Inspection & Documentation

  • Inspect returned vehicles for damage, fuel levels, and cleanliness.

  • Identify and document any new damages accurately using company checklists.

  • Complete and file all damage reports and charge-out documentation.

  • Ensure that vehicles are cleared for turnaround and future rentals.

3. Operational Coordination

  • Liaise with internal teams (cleaning, maintenance, and front-desk agents) to ensure workflow efficiency.

  • Maintain updated vehicle return logs and system records.

  • Support operational supervisors with quality control and compliance reporting.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing or automotive service environment

  • Previous experience in car rental or vehicle logistics advantageous

Licensing & Availability

  • Valid Code 8 Driver’s License (unendorsed) – essential

  • Ability to work rotational shifts (06h00 – 24h00, Monday to Sunday)

Remuneration and Benefits

  • Basic Salary: R7,500 per month

  • Additional: Overtime pay and shift allowance
