Position Overview
Motus Autoworx is currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assembler to join its East London branch. The Assembler plays a crucial role in the final assembly of repaired and newly painted vehicles, ensuring that every vehicle leaves the workshop aligned with Motus quality standards.
This position requires a disciplined and efficient individual who can work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver top-tier automotive workmanship. The role forms part of the final production chain, meaning high accuracy, technical competence, and time management are essential in achieving the department’s overall performance targets.
Key Responsibilities

Complete final assembly of repaired and sprayed vehicles within recommended timeframes.

Maintain high standards of professionalism, precision, and quality workmanship.

Attend regular training programmes on new vehicle models and technologies to enhance assembly skills.

Assist the department in achieving daily and monthly assembly targets.

Ensure all assigned jobs are completed within allocated hours and according to required ETA benchmarks.

Work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Collaborate with the panel shop, paint shop, production team, and quality controllers for smooth workflow.

Use equipment and tools responsibly, ensuring safe and correct handling at all times.

Report discrepancies, misalignment, or missing parts immediately to the Production Manager.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area in line with Motus housekeeping standards.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric
-
Minimum 2+ years of relevant panel shop experience

Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s licence

Basic computer literacy

Ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written)
