Position Overview
The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI) invites suitably qualified and motivated individuals to apply for 27 Administrative Clerk: Immovable Asset Register (Verification) positions available on a 12-month fixed-term contract across multiple regional offices. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in assisting with the physical verification, data accuracy, and asset management of state-owned properties under the DPWI.

Minimum Requirements
-
A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
-
A valid driver’s license is required.
-
Strong report writing skills and attention to detail.
-
Good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).

Basic numeracy and sound administrative skills.

Excellent organizational and planning skills.
-
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
-
Ability to work efficiently in a team and meet strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
-
Assist in the physical verification of DPWI immovable assets across allocated regions.
-
Provide administrative and technical support to the Assistant Director (ASD) and Deputy Director: Physical Verification.
-
Perform desktop planning and confirm ownership of land parcels through various records and systems.
-
Conduct GIS spatial data checks to verify land coordinates and mapping accuracy.
-
Review, validate, and capture property data on relevant databases and ERP systems.
-
Approve regional transactions captured via the mobile verification application.

Ensure that all Immovable Asset Register (IAR) data is accurate and up to date.

Conduct deeds searches and verify property documents with authorities such as the Deeds Office and Surveyor-General.

Assist with providing property information support to other departmental units.

Perform site inspections and condition assessments of properties as required.
