Key Duties and Responsibilities
General Clerical Support
- Provide general administrative and clerical support services.
- Capture, organize, store, and retrieve correspondence and data.
- Update registers and statistical records.
Document and Communication Management
- Handle routine enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Make photocopies and send or receive facsimiles.
- Distribute documents and packages to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain incoming and outgoing correspondence registers.
- Type letters, reports, and official correspondence when required.
Records and Filing Management
- Maintain filing systems for the component.
- Ensure proper storage and safekeeping of official documents.
Supply Chain Administrative Support
- Provide procurement clerical support services.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement processes.
- Obtain quotations for standard office supplies.
- Complete procurement forms for purchasing office items.
- Maintain stock control of stationery.
- Maintain the asset register of the component.
Personnel Administration Support
- Maintain leave registers.
- Keep and update personnel records.
- Maintain attendance registers for staff members.
Financial Administration Support
- Capture and update expenditure records.
- Check subsistence and travel claims for accuracy before submission to management.
- Assist with telephone account administration.
- Manage petty cash records.
Travel and Logistics Support
- Arrange travel and accommodation for staff members when required.
The Administration Clerk plays a vital role in supporting efficient administrative operations and ensuring proper record management within the component.

The position is based in Arcadia, Pretoria at Agriculture Place.
