Position Overview

VKB Retail is seeking a detail-oriented Admin Assistant to manage the internal administration functions for the Verkykerskop branch. The successful candidate will ensure efficient record-keeping, stock control, and client support, contributing to the smooth operations of the retail and agricultural services.

This role is ideal for candidates with administrative skills, computer literacy, and a passion for precision and compliance in a fast-paced agricultural retail environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of administration and record-keeping.

  • Process goods received vouchers (GRVs) and invoices accurately.

  • Assist with stock claims, stock control, and deviation reporting.

  • Manage and control bank and petty cash operations.

  • Support the audit process as required.

  • File relevant documents according to set standards.

  • Deliver excellent client service.

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

  • Minimise risk to the company through compliance and accuracy.


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4

Experience:

  • Experience in agriculture or retail administration is advantageous

Skills and Competencies:

  • Numeracy and computer literacy, especially MS Word and Excel

  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and accuracy

  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Teamwork, planning, organizing, and personal resilience

  • Clear criminal record
