Position Overview
The Admin Assistant (Admin & Sales Assistant) plays a crucial role in supporting daily warehouse operations, administrative functions, customer service tasks, and internal communication. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the role supports order processing, documentation control, stock accuracy, and operational coordination within a busy warehouse environment located in Tshiame / Industriqwa / Harrismith.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily administrative tasks, including printing and processing picking slips, invoices, and PODs.

Check and verify all outgoing orders before dispatch, ensuring all documents are returned and filed.

Scan and upload PODs onto the accounting system.

Handle telephone duties, including quoting, responding to queries, and attending to customer requests.

Communicate instructions to picking and loading teams clearly and timeously.

Liaise with suppliers, transporters, clients, and internal departments.

Support stock management activities, including monthly stock takes.
-
Maintain warehouse safety, security, and housekeeping standards.

Assist with operational and ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Warehouse Manager.

Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 (Diploma in logistics/warehousing is advantageous).
-
Experience in bulk or break-bulk warehousing or distribution.

Administrative and/or sales experience (advantageous).

Fluency in Sesotho/Zulu, English, or Afrikaans (advantageous).

Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.

Strong numerical and verification accuracy.

Willingness to perform manual labour when required.

Sense of urgency, attention to detail, and high reliability.

Willingness to work overtime when required.
-
A strong desire to learn, grow, and be trained in warehouse operations.

Adherence to VKB Group warehouse rules and standards.
