About the Role
The Account Analyst supports the day-to-day management of a business banking portfolio by delivering excellent client service, administering accounts, and preparing, processing, and monitoring credit facilities in line with credit and risk policies.
The role focuses on maintaining portfolio quality and profitability while supporting business growth through cross-selling and identifying new opportunities. The Account Analyst works closely with relationship managers and clients to ensure that lending, investment, and transactional accounts are managed effectively and in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Business Banking Portfolio Support
The successful candidate will support the management of a business banking client portfolio by ensuring accurate administration of accounts and proactive client engagement. This includes daily monitoring of lending and investment accounts, ensuring that account conduct aligns with agreed terms and risk frameworks.
The role requires maintaining a strong understanding of each client’s business, financial position, and banking needs to deliver tailored support and advice.
Credit Application Preparation and Processing
The Account Analyst will be responsible for preparing, motivating, and processing credit applications in line with approved credit policies and risk frameworks. This includes gathering financial information, analysing financial statements, and compiling clear, accurate credit motivations.
Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure that credit submissions are compliant, well-supported, and aligned with portfolio risk appetite.
Financial Analysis and Risk Monitoring
The role involves analysing financial statements, balance sheets, and management accounts to assess client performance and credit risk. The Account Analyst must identify potential risks, monitor excesses, and ensure that accounts remain compliant with credit conditions.

Minimum Requirements

2–3 years’ experience in banking, with at least 1 year in Business Banking or Commercial Banking
