Position Overview

Empact Group is recruiting a Driver to support our food solutions operations in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for timely transportation of products and equipment, assisting with deliveries and pickups, and ensuring vehicle safety and compliance.

This role is ideal for individuals who are reliable, customer-focused, and physically capable, with a passion for safe driving and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute cost-effective, timely deliveries.

  • Safely transport products and equipment to and from various locations.

  • Complete log sheets, delivery documents, and route plans accurately.

  • Maintain good housekeeping practices for vehicles and equipment.

  • Assist with loading, unloading, and stock handling as required.

  • Inspect vehicles and perform basic maintenance checks (oil, tire pressure, fluids).

  • Receive, count, and verify stock items; report discrepancies or damage.

  • Ensure all documentation for dispatching or receiving stock is complete and accurate.

  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions with clients.


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent

Experience & Skills:

  • Valid driver’s license and PDP with a clean driving record

  • Previous driving experience in a logistics, food delivery, or similar environment preferred

  • Ability to handle cars and light commercial vehicles

  • Strong time management and ability to meet delivery schedules

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Physically fit for handling stock and equipment
