Position Overview

Impact HR is recruiting a Retail Store Associate for the Durban, Umgeni branch, specifically for the festive season. The successful candidate will ensure a high-quality shopping experience, accurate transactions, and a welcoming store environment for all customers.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in retail sales, customer service, and merchandising, who thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Demonstrate product knowledge and provide recommendations to customers.

  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.

  • Restock shelves and maintain inventory levels.

  • Ensure store cleanliness and organisation at all times.

  • Assist in merchandising and product displays.

  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and goals.

  • Perform opening and closing duties as required.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively

  • Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
