Position Overview

TWK Agri is seeking a Retail Manager for the Middelburg, Mpumalanga branch. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of store operations, ensuring smooth workflow, stock control, adherence to company policies, and achievement of sales and profitability targets.

This role requires a strong leader with excellent management, planning, and operational skills, capable of motivating a team while maintaining high customer service standards.


Key Responsibilities

Store Operations and Management

  • Oversee all aspects of the store, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.

  • Assess key operational performance metrics and implement improvements.

  • Manage shrinkage, stock control, and POS processes.

  • Ensure adherence to operational policies, procedures, and company standards.

  • Plan and monitor store budgets, sales targets, and expenses.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop store staff to ensure high performance.

  • Manage HR and IR-related activities in accordance with company policies.

  • Train employees in operational procedures, customer service, and merchandising.

Customer Service and Retail Excellence

  • Ensure exceptional customer service in line with the TWK Agri brand.

  • Implement merchandising principles and marketing strategies to drive sales.

  • Maintain store standards, organization, and overall presentation.

Operational Planning and Reporting

  • Conduct regular operational planning, process improvement, and administrative reporting.

  • Monitor stock indicators, sales performance, and store profitability against benchmarks.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates to management.


Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate.

  • Relevant degree, diploma, or higher certificate.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in retail management.

  • Computer literate.

  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to train and develop employees effectively.

Advantageous:

  • Experience in the agricultural or agribusiness retail sector.

  • Above-average knowledge of retail management principles.

  • Strong analytical, assertive, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently under pressure with high attention to detail.
