Position Overview

Fedics is seeking a Catering Supervisor to join the Living Lifestyle division based in Strand, Western Cape.

The ideal candidate is a passionate, energetic, and service-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will be responsible for supervising catering operations, ensuring food quality, maintaining hygiene standards, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Supervise and coordinate catering staff during daily operations and events.

  • Oversee meal preparation and service to ensure quality and timeliness.

  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

  • Manage inventory, control costs, and assist with ordering of supplies.

Client & Service Excellence

  • Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and handle feedback proactively.

  • Uphold the highest standards of food presentation and service delivery.

  • Support management in implementing innovative service strategies.

Team Leadership

  • Train, motivate, and mentor team members to achieve performance goals.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability.

  • Ensure shift coverage, staff discipline, and continuous operational improvement.


Minimum Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).

  • At least 3 years’ experience in food service, catering, or hospitality supervision.

  • Proven experience in front-of-house operations or assistant management roles.

  • Excellent mathematical and cash handling skills (POS or cash register operation).

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods and handle light lifting (up to 50 lbs).

  • Stamina to work extended hours (45–50 hours per week).

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality service delivery.
