Position Overview

Mr D is seeking a Sales Lead to manage and coordinate the Western Cape sales team. The successful candidate will drive restaurant acquisition, retention, and revenue goals while ensuring operational excellence and team efficiency. This role reports directly to the Head of Sales & Account Managers for Mr D.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong leadership skills, a competitive mindset, and prior experience in e-commerce, SAAS, or hospitality sales.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities of the sales team to achieve regional acquisition, retention, and revenue goals.

  • Implement and enforce new business policies and procedures.

  • Assist Account Managers in prioritising weekly team tasks.

  • Oversee CRM (Pipedrive) for tracking team performance and activities.

  • Drive product knowledge sessions for the sales team and restaurant partners.

  • Act as the main liaison for operational performance, initiating resolutions for issues.

  • Recruit and onboard additional account managers for the Western Cape region.

  • Provide input to the marketing team for promotional and advertising initiatives.

  • Set clear goals based on acquisition and retention objectives.


Skills & Attributes Required

  • Experience coordinating and managing team activities

  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and targets

  • Strong leadership and motivational skills

  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written

  • Self-motivated and results-driven

  • Extremely competitive with a strong drive to win

  • Competent in Excel and CRM systems

  • Ability to prioritise business objectives and maintain accuracy


Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification

  • Minimum 1 year experience supervising teams

  • Minimum 2 years experience in marketplace, e-commerce, SAAS, or hospitality sales
