About the Role
The Battery Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, meeting monthly targets, and building strong customer relationships across the assigned territory in KwaZulu-Natal. This role requires a results-driven, proactive sales professional with excellent technical knowledge of battery solutions and the ability to generate new business while maintaining exceptional service for existing customers.
The successful candidate will combine technical understanding, customer relationship management, and market awareness to consistently deliver high sales performance and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Performance

Meet and exceed monthly sales targets.

Develop new customers and expand the existing customer base.

Close new business deals while maintaining ongoing relationships with current clients.

Target and manage national accounts within the territory.

Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, and proactive prospecting.

Add value to every customer interaction by offering tailored solutions.
2. Order Management & Delivery
-
Prepare and submit quotes and proposals for battery solutions.

Manage the full order cycle from quotation to delivery.

Conduct site surveys prior to equipment delivery.
-
Facilitate proper handover and installation on-site.
3. Customer Relationship Management
-
Build and maintain trusting relationships with customers.

Investigate and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
-
Ensure services and products provided align with customer requirements.

Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.
4. Market Intelligence & Product Knowledge
-
Monitor competitor pricing, product offerings, delivery schedules, and merchandising.

Stay informed about the local market landscape and competitors in your area.

Recommend product, service, or policy changes based on competitive insights.

Maintain up-to-date technical and professional product knowledge.
5. Reporting & Administration

Submit daily call reports, weekly schedules, and monthly/annual territory analyses.

Submit monthly fuel reports as required.

Attend and contribute to weekly sales meetings.
6. Operational Support & Compliance

Assist in operational functions as required.

Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and health & safety regulations.

Maintain professional conduct, dress code, and daily housekeeping standards.

Deliver consistent value service levels aligned with company standards.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) – advantageous

3 to 5 years’ relevant sales experience

Experience in technical sales is beneficial
-
Proven track record of achieving sales targets over the last 12 months

Certificate or degree in sales is advantageous
