Position Overview
Mr Price Money is seeking a dedicated Collections Agent to join their Night Shift team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing overdue customer accounts, negotiating repayment plans, resolving discrepancies, and delivering excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resilient, and a skilled negotiator, capable of working independently and achieving collections targets while maintaining professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Collections and Account Management

Field calls to customers with arrears to collect overdue installments across all lending products.

Efficiently process refunds, account adjustments, and corrections.
-
Resolve client discrepancies, short payments, and account issues promptly.

Update customers’ personal, employment, and contact information accurately.
-
Effectively rehabilitate customers through superior service and negotiation techniques.
Customer Service and Compliance
-
Address all customer and store queries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution.

Maintain adherence to the National Credit Act (NCA) and company credit policies.

Ensure all collection actions are conducted ethically and professionally.
Performance and Reporting

Meet or exceed individual collection targets.

Maintain accurate records of all interactions and payments processed.
-
Support team and management with reporting on collection activities and results.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
-
Grade 12 / Matric.
-
6–12 months experience in collections or credit control.
-
Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Knowledge of NCA requirements and credit collection processes.

Understanding of the account lifecycle and collection procedures.
Advantageous:

Prior experience in a financial services or retail credit environment.

Customer service or call centre experience.
