Position Overview
Pedros is seeking a Store Manager to oversee and manage the operations of its restaurant/take-away in Cape Town, Western Cape. The successful candidate will ensure operational efficiency, staff performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability, while maintaining Pedros’ quality standards and brand reputation.
This role requires a proactive, experienced professional with strong leadership, organisational, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management

Oversee the overall operation of the restaurant/take-away.

Ensure all food quality standards and Pedros SOPs are consistently maintained.

Manage stock control, purchasing, and inventory orders efficiently.

Handle customer complaints and maintain high levels of customer service.

Conduct daily opening and closing procedures at the store.
Financial & Performance Management
-
Maximise profitability and achieve sales and GP% targets.
-
Monitor performance metrics and drive initiatives to improve store results.

Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for process improvements.
People Management
-
Lead, motivate, and manage the store team, including discipline and work rosters.

Ensure staff training programmes are in place for development and productivity.

Conduct regular structured staff meetings and performance evaluations.

Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding of store employees.
Health, Safety & Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Maintain hygiene standards and safe working environments for staff and customers.
Marketing & Customer Relations

Support marketing activities and in-store promotions to drive sales.

Ensure customer service issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant or fast-food service management.

Proven people management and leadership skills.

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
Advantageous:

Knowledge of GAAP and retail accounting principles.
