Position Overview
Pedros is seeking a detail-oriented Creditors Clerk to join its Finance Department at the Newlands East Head Office. The successful candidate will manage accounts payable, ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices, reconciliation of accounts, and timely payments.
This role is ideal for a professional with strong financial administration skills, attention to detail, and experience in accounts payable within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Management

Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.

Allocate transactions correctly per General Ledger (GL) coding.

Verify supplier documents, including delivery notes, GRVs, and tax invoices.

Prepare supplier payments according to agreed credit terms.

Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve any outstanding items.

Maintain and update the supplier age analysis.
-
Send proof of payments to suppliers promptly.
Financial Administration Support
-
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.

Maintain accurate financial records for auditing and reporting purposes.

Support the Finance team in various ad-hoc accounting tasks as required.

Collaborate effectively with other departments to facilitate smooth supplier transactions.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
-
3 years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
-
Strong understanding of the accounts payable function and a hands-on approach.

Proficiency in Sage 200 Evolution or similar ERP systems.

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
-
Degree or Diploma in Finance.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
