About the Role

The Fidelity Services Group branch in Welkom plays a critical role in managing commercial, industrial, and residential security deployments throughout the Free State region. As a Security Supervisor, you will act as the operational bridge between ground-level Security Officers and senior branch management, ensuring that all client contract terms, safety standards, and operational guidelines are strictly enforced.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Supervision & Site Inspections

• Supervise mobile security personnel and site postings to ensure full compliance with company standards and client service level agreements (SLAs).

• Perform regular, structured site visits and quality control checks across all assigned client locations in Welkom.

• Monitor staff attendance, manage shift handovers, and ensure adequate staffing levels across all site shifts.

• Evaluate ongoing service delivery standards and proactively suggest operational improvements to client representatives.

Incident Management & Reporting

• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarm activations, and emergency calls on client sites.

• Conduct thorough initial investigations into site incidents, breach attempts, or operational irregularities.

• Draft, compile, and submit detailed weekly and monthly incident reports and site operational metrics to the Branch Manager.

• Maintain accurate computerized and physical registers of daily shift occurrences, attendance logs, and equipment allocations.

Staff Leadership & HR Administration

• Provide clear leadership, guidance, and ongoing performance feedback to Security Officers.

• Address basic HR and payroll queries promptly to ensure high workforce morale and operational stability.

• Identify training gaps and mentor staff on proper security procedures, weapon safety, and client etiquette.

Client Liaison & Relationship Management

• Maintain excellent working relationships with client representatives and site managers.

• Address client concerns or operational requests immediately to uphold the company’s reputation for service excellence.

Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualifications & Statutory Accreditation

• Grade 12 Certificate (Matric) — essential minimum requirement

• Active PSIRA Grade B Registration and accreditation — mandatory requirement

• Valid Firearm Competency Certificate for Handgun, Shotgun, and Rifle — mandatory

• Numerical literacy and fluent English communication skills (written and spoken)

Driver’s License & Criminal Record

• Valid Code 8 (EB) or Code 10 (C1) Driver’s License with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) — mandatory

Experience & Operational Capabilities
