You will be trained and mentored to operate mobile and fixed breathing apparatus, manage hazardous substance incidents, execute casualty extrications, and conduct routine equipment maintenance. Key Responsibilities
Frontline Emergency Response & Rescue

Respond to structural fires, rescue calls, hazardous substance incidents, and humanitarian emergencies under senior supervision.

Safely extricate and release casualties trapped in structures or vehicles using specialized rescue machinery.

Administer First Aid (Levels 1 to 3), basic medical care, and resuscitation as a certified responder or Basic Ambulance Attendant.

Operate pumps, hose lines, extinguishing systems, and mobile or fixed breathing apparatus on scene.
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance

Perform daily inspection checks, cleaning, testing, and maintenance on firefighting appliances, gear, and tools to maintain operational readiness.

Log all daily operational activities and incident occurrences into computerized occurrence logs.

Conduct minor, shift-level maintenance on protective equipment and emergency apparatus.
Fire Prevention, Inspections & Training

Assist with health and safety inspections across facilities to identify fire hazards and enforce OHS compliance.

Participate in mandatory training drills, simulation exercises, and continuous physical fitness conditioning.
