Position Overview
VKB Mechanisation in Bela-Bela, Limpopo is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join its technical team. This role focuses on the service, repair, and maintenance of agricultural machinery and vehicles. The successful candidate will ensure mechanical work is performed to VKB’s standards, mentor junior personnel, and provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Service, repair, and overhaul mechanical components of agricultural equipment and vehicles.

Compile accurate quotations according to customer requirements and specifications.

Ensure worksheets and service documentation comply with VKB policies and procedures.

Maintain compliance with all Health and Safety standards.
-
Build and sustain long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
-
Correctly manage guarantee claims and associated information.

Train and mentor personnel on VKB policies, procedures, and technical standards.

Cross-market relevant products and promotions to clients.
-
Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and clients for smooth operations.

Perform daily ad hoc duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / NQF 4 compulsory.
-
Completed N2 Tractor Mechanic qualification.
-
At least 3–5 years’ experience as a mechanic in agricultural machinery or similar environments.

Thorough, precise, and detail-oriented approach to work.

Clear criminal record.
-
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
